Project Background:

Lawrence-Douglas County Fire Medical (LDCFM) is developing our next Strategic Plan, and we want to hear from you. Your feedback helps us understand the needs, priorities, and expectations of the community we serve. By completing our Community Survey, you'll help guide future goals, initiatives, and investments that strengthen fire and emergency medical services throughout Lawrence and Douglas County.

If you'd like to see where the department is starting from, the current 2021-2026 strategic plan is available here. Thank you for taking a few minutes to share your thoughts and help shape the future of our department.

Community Engagement:

This fall, Lawrence Douglas County Fire Medical will be hosting open houses at each of our fire stations. These open houses will be an opportunity for community members to engage with our department and chat further about the work we do in the community.

All open houses will run from 9 to 11 a.m.:

• Saturday, September 26 at Station 4 (2121 Wakarusa Drive)
• Saturday, October 10 at Station 3 (3708 W. 6th Street)
• Saturday, October 24 at Station 5 (1911 Stewart Ave.)
• Saturday, November 7 at Station 2 (2128 Harper St.)
• Saturday, November 21 at Station 1 (746 Kentucky St.)

No registration is needed, and everyone is welcome.
